ALTERNATIVE USES

I was in a retail shop a couple weeks ago discussing the movement of PSI products with the owner. He asked why we stopped selling mosquito net treatment solution. He said it was an excellent product that people really liked because it was great as a pesticide in the farm. I told him that perhaps the…

The donor’s might not dig it but i think that seeing condoms in public space even if just as decoration could have an effect on how condoms are seen in talked about in public space.

It’s like in this country in the late 80′s and early 90′s HipHop groups we making songs about using condoms and putting them in the music videos..i think it was making a difference. Unfortunately, the music industry shifted their focus from those types of awareness raising songs and videos to a more nihilistic, marteialistic and hypersexual content and financially rewarding artist who produced that content.

Anyway, i guess my overall point is, even if the products are not being used as intended does not necessarily mean it is not affecting behavior change or making an impact in the desired population.

I have never seen a picture like this! I am not sure if I am grossed out or fascinated – probably what you feel every day! It also made me remember the time you and I discovered the trail of ants through all the cabinets and swarming inside 3rd roomie’s open jelly bean bag. good times!

HIKING IN THE ULUGURU MOUNTAINS

Tucked away in the Uluguru Mountains, just outside Morogoro, Tanzania (at about 3,500 feet), is an old German hut, which was built in 1911. It’s hard to imagine how (or why) this place was built since there is barely a trail to get up there. From the moment we started the hike, it was pretty…

MJ – Wow! you go and do such amazing things. I am probably the most proud mother in the entire world! Even last night, your Aunt Christine said, “MJ is an amazing woman” – I cannot imagine how proud of her you must be.

Be smart to stay safe.

SAFARI DETOUR

We took a detour (ie. safari) today through Mikumi National Park. I think the best part about this particular safari was that 3 of my Tanzanian coworkers accompanied me and this was a first for 2 of them. This was not a first for me, but the thrill and excitement of driving around the park…
