-3: Market women

My first Ghanaian cooking session. My language group made riceballs and groundnut soup (one of my favorite meals). I was in charge of the riceballs.

-9: These are just a few of my friends in Binaba. The first couple pics are of some friends adding a room in his house. I actually went to the house to visit one morning and attempted to put up a brick on my own.

-11: Making pito, a very popular drink in the north. It comes fermented (alcohol) and unfermented (non-alcohol) and is served slightly chilled. It tastes like hard cider.

 Onion garden

Random house in Zebilla. Nice view, huh?

14. Vic (my counterpart) and her 3 year old son, Joe, who already knows he wants to marry me.

I woke up one morning and went outside to find this cow sleeping in my garden. He looked up at me and pranced off

-22: Christmas!! I had some friends (including the volunteer living closest to me) over to my house that day. We killed a guinea fowl and made groundnut soup with riceballs. It was very tasty and I enjoyed having guests to the house.

-29: Annual festival in Bawku. Lots of different types of dancing and cultural group performances. I enjoyed seeing all the traditional clothes more than anything.
