We met a neat guy - Joel (on the left) - who we hired to be our tour guide. He was one of the only people from the area who spoke English and very knowledgeable. Our first stop was to taste locally brewed beer (at 9am!). It wasn't different from what we have in Ghana (you've heard me talk about pito), but they have a tradition of drinking it out of the same calabash with a friend.
